About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to lead the psychological therapies provision in our Adult Acute Inpatient Services. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the psychology provision across the adult Acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychological input to wards, including consultation and indirect working
  • Develop and implement psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions
  • Supervise an Assistant Psychologist and oversee the delivery of their therapeutic work
  • Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster trauma-informed approaches to care
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Practitioner Psychologist with specialist knowledge and relevant post-qualification clinical experience of working with individuals with a range of mental health difficulties. You will have a strong interest in developing innovative practice, working with complexity, and working in teams. Effective leadership skills, including self-motivation, effective communication, and the ability to support and motivate others, are essential.
