Join Our Team as an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a mainstream primary school setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to children, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, promoting social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities that cater to diverse learning needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and strategies for supporting children with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Psychology graduates or experienced nursery practitioners are encouraged to apply.
