Senior Technical Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, with experience of providing audit or accounting advisory services to US listed FPI's or to the Energy/Oil & Gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the group consolidation process, including approval of all accounting entries.
  • Oversee the audit process, including agreeing timetables and ensuring timely delivery of audit information.
  • Prepare the quarterly management report and provide commentaries to management.
  • Provide additional explanations and analysis as required.
  • Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos for non-routine commercial transactions.
  • Manage junior members of the finance team.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements
  • Big 4/Top 10 audit experience is essential.
  • Audit or Accounting Advisory services to US listed FPI's or to the Energy/Oil & Gas sectors is essential.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of reporting under IFRS.
  • Robust knowledge of accounting standards, financial compliance, and focus on financial control and stewardship.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise, and effective time management.
