Job Title: Machine Shop QC Inspector

The client, KBM RESOURCING LTD, is seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop QC Inspector to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality control professional to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

The Machine Shop QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products processed in the Machine Shop, Test & Assembly, Goods-In, Aftermarket, Controls, Calibration, and during the shipping process. This includes verifying the correct material is being utilized, confirming machine parts have undergone final inspection, and ensuring all components have undergone relevant NDT/heat treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the correct material is being utilized and documented on relevant reports.
  • Confirm all machine parts have undergone final inspection for compliance with drawing detail/process routers are duly documented on relevant reports.
  • Ensure all MT&E are calibrated to specifications.
  • Ensure all components have undergone relevant NDT/heat treatment operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring all parts are assembled in accordance with drawing assembly details.
  • Ensure relevant factory acceptance/integration tests and flushing operations are documented.
  • Process inspection and non-conformance reports.
  • Liaise with customer inspection representatives.
  • Ensure raw/finished material complies with purchase order requirements.
  • Ensure supplied certification meets purchase order requirements and, where applicable, relevant material specification.
  • Responsible for ensuring all goods receiving reports/certification are correctly processed.
  • Verify condition/description of outgoing parts complies with order requirements.
  • Ensure shipping inspection reports/certification are correctly processed.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in Quality Control.
  • Inspection/testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of all types of measuring equipment.
  • Good general IT skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
Preferred
  • ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience working with Oil Field equipment.
Remuneration
  • £16-17 p/h (overtime available)
