Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Inspector to join our team at Expro. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of supplier-manufactured equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on new manufactured, repaired, and modified components and equipment during their life cycle using various inspection tooling.
  • Produce detailed reports, including marked-up manufacturing drawings, highlighting all findings for engineering review.
  • Discuss inspection findings with those responsible for products, including the engineering department, workshop, and vendors.
  • Raise non-conformance reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Read and understand BOMs, engineering drawings, and design specifications.
  • Work in accordance with local Goods Inwards Quality Procedures.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is kept safe, maintained, clean, and within calibration.
  • Support and perform Non-Destructive Examination (LPI & MPI) on repaired/modified components when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a workshop or machine shop inspection role.
  • Excellent display of quality control techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of handheld measuring equipment, including internal/external micrometers, Bower gauges, vernier calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience with portable coordinate measuring machines and their associated software, such as FARO, CMM, ROAMER, ABERLINK, and SMART INSPECT.
  • SNT L2 experience preferred, but basic working knowledge of NDE techniques and their applications within the industry are required.
  • IT literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, TrueView, CAD, or equivalent.
