About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced individual with strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills to join our Legal & Business Affairs team as Head of Complaints Handling Unit. The successful candidate will work with the Legal & Business Affairs team across the business, Content Compliance, and HR to handle complaints received by the business about the behavior and conduct of those who work with them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and triaging concerns raised
  • Supporting HR (where required) with internal HR investigations or managing these directly (with external support if appropriate)
  • Conducting reviews/investigations as required, including instructing and managing external experts, if appropriate
  • Reporting to the Management Board as necessary
  • Supporting and liaising with external complainants and others to ensure concerns/complaints are being handled efficiently and appropriately
  • Providing recommendations for effective concern resolution, minimizing reputational, commercial, and legal risk for the organization while upholding the highest governance and ethical standards

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced individual with strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional lawyer with a sound understanding and track record of advising in relation to employment law and litigation within a respected commercial environment or at a first-class law firm
