Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Abel & Cole is a pioneering organic home delivery brand seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 4 Maintenance Engineers in executing effective troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance routines to prolong the useful life and optimize efficiency of our production and facilities equipment.
  • Ensure minimum response times to equipment breakdown and provide maintenance cover for production areas.
  • Carry out repairs on machinery in all areas of our Andover operations as expediently as possible and liaise with production personnel to minimize downtime.
  • Make decisions under pressure and ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out correctly in a timely manner.
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance spending in line with the Site Services budget.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical maintenance role within a commercial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical diagrams.
  • Experience of installation and maintenance of various electro-mechanical equipment/systems.
  • Hold at least level 3 City & Guild building services 'electrical installation route' and/or Level 3 Diploma in Installation of Electrotechnical systems & equipment.
  • Experience of working within and leading a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Professional, honest with integrity.
  • Experience working with a CMMS.
  • IT literate, particularly in MS Office applications.
  • Good understanding of LOLER/PUWER regulations.
  • A knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
