Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Programme Coordinator in Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering bespoke family programmes that focus on topics such as parenting, physical activity, health and wellbeing, food and nutrition, and signposting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain supportive relationships with local families participating in programmes.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance on lifestyle behaviours such as healthy eating, physical activity, and mental wellbeing.
  • Maintain relationships with school providers, school nurses, and community groups to ensure families' needs are met.
  • Record and monitor outcomes to support the effectiveness of the programme.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Award in Nutrition and/or Physical Activity, or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of community engagement work with parents and families, and delivering targeted health improvement or public health interventions.
  • Enhanced DBS with Children's and Adults Barring List Check.
