This role supports the façade lead and/or construction lead in reporting on productivity, programme/schedule, providing leadership and direction as part of the facade project team. The successful candidate will manage site activities, driving service excellence and health and safety in facade, recording progress, and raising issues with site activities & site quality process.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the progress of onsite activities to maintain programme and keep on track.
  • Monitoring adherence to quality standards on site, ensuring and maintaining quality standard levels are met.
  • Ensuring good practice levels of health & safety standards are met.
  • Managing forecast planning and 2 week and 8 weeks look ahead including daily activity briefings (DABS).
  • Resolving issues between trades to ensure smooth progress of ongoing works.
  • Leading and co-ordinating with overall site logistics to plan deliveries and manage installations.
  • Managing, providing leadership and direction to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have:

  • Good experience of facades construction installation - experience of multiple different façade types.
  • Experience of short-term planning & facade installation methods.
  • Site management safety training (SMSTS).
  • Proven ability in driving site team to meet short term goals
  • Comprehensive communications skills to interface with team.
  • Manages and influences key/senior stakeholders.
  • Personal integrity, commitment to working, reliability, consistency.
  • Ability to lead others and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to influence at a senior level.

You'll also have:

  • Clear understanding of temporary works process,
  • Centre of window and cladding technology (CWCT) (or equivalent). Product awareness training
  • BTEC or HNQ in relevant trade skill (or equivalent).
  • Façade system training.
  • Member of the chartered institute of building (MCIOB).
  • Able to chair meetings.
  • Client facing.
  • Able to manage consultants.
  • Ability to set clear targets and motivate site teams to meet these.
  • Ability to engage with operatives & directors equally to deliver results.
  • NVQ Level 5 of higher (or equivalent).
