We are a leading construction company with over 30 years of experience in Groundworks, Civil Engineering, and Earthworks. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced quantity surveyor to oversee multiple projects and contribute to the company's commercial success. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the site team, clients, and professional consultants to understand project progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the project procurement plan, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CVR reports, providing detailed financial analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage subcontractor payments and accounts, ensuring prompt and accurate payment to suppliers.
  • Review commercial gains and losses, providing insights and recommendations to optimize project profitability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional qualification in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in delivering Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects as a lead QS, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent IT, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a team of surveyors, with a focus on developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
