We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Administrator to join our team at Maclaren Warner.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our professional team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing letters and legal documents, such as wills, contracts, and court papers
  • Working from verbal instruction, notes, and digital dictation
  • Answering telephone calls in a professional manner
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients, other professional advisors, and opposing solicitors via email, fax, and letter
  • General file and record management, including file opening, client identification, document storage, and file archiving
  • Making appointments and diary management via both paper and electronic systems
  • Preparing court forms and statements
  • Keeping records of costs
  • Delivering and collecting documents
  • Land Registry online application and search requests
  • HMRC Stamp duty online applications
  • File ledger management, including invoices, completion statements, notification of funds receipts, and disbursement payments
  • Copying, scanning, and faxing, including preparation of large files
  • Undertaking any other duties as directed by the Director(s) which are consistent with the job holder's grade and experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths, and appropriate administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent keyboard skills are also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £24,000.00 per year, plus a yearly bonus. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, with no weekends.
