Job Title: Behavioural Support Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a Behavioural Support Professional to deliver person-centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred support to individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Work in a school setting to support children and young people who require 1:1 support
  • Utilise de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Participate in professional training and development to enhance skills

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
  • De-escalation training an advantage
  • Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, and build positive relationships
  • Empathy and understanding
  • Willingness to enhance skills with professional training and development
