At AtkinsRéalis, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to take up a vital role in shaping our exciting projects and contribute to the development of world-class engineering solutions.

Your Role

In this position, you'll play a key part in every aspect of electrical engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure. You'll have opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad, utilising your expertise in all aspects of electrical engineering within multiple sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education.

We provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with added value through client-side support and construction phases. Our commitment to quality assurance standards ensures that our designs meet the highest levels of excellence.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. You'll also successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes, working closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.

To excel in this role, you should have sound knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCD's, earthing and bonding, and familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry-specific standards and working practices.

You should also be proficient in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance, and have experience with electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of around £80,000 per annum, regularly tested against other consultants, with a default of 25 days' leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy or sell some of that leave.
