Building Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Engineer to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our Estates department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of all engineering and building plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Engineering and Maintenance: Ensure the safe and continuous operation of all engineering and building plant and equipment, in accordance with statutory requirements, codes of practice, guidance notes and Trust procedures.
- Site Maintenance: Perform out-of-hours site maintenance responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Fire Safety: Act as the Trust's Fire Controlling Officer and undertake the duties of that role for the site as a whole during a fire event.
- Contractor Management: Carry out line manager duties for contractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital - as well as community healthcare premises. Our team provides a range of services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and Consultant-led services.
