We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Intervention Development Pathway Gap Fund Specialist to join our team at NERC - the Natural Environment Research Council. In this role, you will be responsible for generating critical preliminary data to build confidence in the development strategy for new or repurposed medicines, medical devices, diagnostic tests, or other medical interventions.
Key Responsibilities- To develop and lead projects that aim to fill the knowledge gap in the development pathway of new or repurposed medical interventions.
- To work closely with researchers and project teams to identify areas where additional evidence is required to de-risk onward development or determine failure.
- To manage the application process for funding opportunities, ensuring timely submission and compliance with relevant regulations.
- A strong background in research and development, preferably in the field of healthcare or biotechnology.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, career development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
