Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Gastroenterology Care Group, you will play a vital role in providing specialist nursing support and management of patients receiving total parenteral nutrition and assessment for and management of those receiving enteral tube feeding.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist nursing support and management of patients receiving total parenteral nutrition and enteral tube feeding.
  • Assess and manage patients with complex nutritional needs, including IV access insertion and management, endoscopic enteral tube placement, and clinical decision making regarding parenteral and enteral nutrition support.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for healthcare professionals and other professional groups.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Professional Qualification with degree-level registration.
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) or equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Relevant post-registration qualification or equivalent.
  • Prescriber qualification.
  • Evidence of participation in audit and research.
Desirable Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills, including email and word processing.
