About the Role

Pembury Legal is seeking a highly skilled AML Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Office of General Counsel, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance standards are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the AML team to maintain consistency and high standards in client due diligence records.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide general compliance support and contribute to the training and development of the AML team.
  • Support the introduction and implementation of new compliance software and enhancements to existing AML policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as law or business.
  • Proven experience of at least two years handling complex AML and financial crime-related queries at an international law firm.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, client intake software, and financial crime databases.
  • Knowledge of current AML regulations and applicable regulatory guidance in the UK.
