The Opportunity

We are seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead the execution of our membership engagement strategy. This role requires a customer service focus paired with a research and analytical mindset to develop models for understanding our community.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute membership engagement strategies, programs, and activities to foster a vibrant community.
  2. Identify collaborative opportunities to keep members engaged and active in our platform.
  3. Provide daily moderation in the CyberEdBoard app to promote consistent engagement and community growth.
  4. Conduct annual reviews with members and collect data to measure satisfaction and ensure we provide customized value.
  5. Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaign plans for target audiences, informed by analysis, for key initiatives.
  6. Serve as a primary point of contact for CyberEdBoard members, providing white-glove customer service and support.
  7. Manage and facilitate members-only working groups.
  8. Design and execute content for CyberEdBoard Talks.
  9. Act as a liaison between CyberEdBoard members and ISMG events and editorial staff.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in PR, Communication, Marketing, or related areas.
  2. 3+ years of experience in membership/community engagement or client relations/customer success.
  3. Experience engaging with external customers/community members, ideally senior to C-suite level executives.
  4. Experience developing and executing creative strategies to increase engagement and retention.
  5. Experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including survey creation.
  6. Ability to synthesize extensive research and data into clear written and oral presentations.
  7. Project Management experience and/or a strong understanding of processes, methods, and skills needed to deliver project goals within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  8. Excellent communication/relationship skills and customer service orientation.
  9. Experience with/knowledge of IT/cybersecurity is not required but highly preferred.
  10. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment with an outstanding ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  11. Must be an independent thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
