Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Area Manager to join our Engineering team at ENGINEERINGUK. This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety and efficiency in the maintenance of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineering technicians in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work with the team to develop solutions that improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Reliability Engineering Manager to implement safety and statutory compliance programs.
  • Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to ensure high equipment availability.
  • Organize and direct training programs for the team to ensure sufficient technical coverage.

Requirements:

  • A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), IEng, CEng or ILM L4+ qualification.
  • Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team and working in a maintenance environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language.
  • Experience of working with statutory regulations and automated equipment, including packaging machinery and PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with project management and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
