Job Title – Building Surveyor (MRICS Qualified)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Cambridgeshire

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Property team in handling general material damage losses and assisting with complex building-related issues. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside one of our highly experienced adjusters to progress and settle insurance claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial visits to assess damage to a high professional standard.
  • Establish and agree defect diagnosis, and progress ensuring all Planning, Building Regulations, Party Wall, and CDM issues are addressed.
  • Arrange testing (ACMs), report preparation, complaint resolution, and compliance with performance and process requirements.
  • Produce high-quality appraisal reports with budget costings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Chartered MRICS qualified with experience in surveying.
  • Customer and quality focused, with excellent communication skills.
  • Team focused, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Reactive and proactive, with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrate technical competence and knowledge of up-to-date Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a speedy and responsive manner.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has a willingness to travel when necessary.
