Pupil Supervisor

Join The Quest School as a Pupil Supervisor and play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students with autism.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with our team of Supervisors and qualified Teachers to ensure the effective delivery of personalized curriculum, learning support strategies, and behaviour plans.
- Directly supervise and support Senior Tutors, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities to pupils and staff.
- Oversee the implementation of pupil individual programmes, including OT, S&L, and other specific requirements, and liaise with consultants to discuss target setting and implementation.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality ABA theory training for teaching staff and complete performance management meetings for allocated staff members.
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and reporting, including pupil progress tracking and whole-school data collation.
- Provide educational assessments and input as part of the admissions process, and contribute to the collation and analysis of whole-school pupil progress data.
- Oversee the selection and ordering of pupil resources, implement academic programmes in accordance with whole-school curriculum plans, and ensure effective monitoring of pupils' learning progress.
- Ensure pupil health and wellbeing, including medication management, incident logging, and behaviour support planning, and provide leadership in crisis management incidents.
- Contribute to whole-school planning, including daily rotas, class groupings, and staff teams, and attend termly SIP visits or Trustees monitoring visits.
- Ensure excellent training is provided to new staff in implementing ABA teaching and behavioural input, and provide guidance and support to staff in 1:1 work with pupils.
- Extensive knowledge, experience, and skills in teaching using the scientific principles of learning and behaviour (ABA).
- Experience in teaching and promoting communication skills in children with autism.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being able to react to situations as and when they arise.
- Physically and emotionally resilient in order to work with children and young adults with autism.
- Strong commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS and maintain this throughout employment.
