Claims Recovery Negotiator

Location: Bexhill

Contract: Hybrid – Working up to 4 days from home

Hours: 37.5 Hours. Monday- Friday

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Claims Recovery Negotiator to join our dynamic Claims Recoveries team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of non-fault claims after a road traffic accident. Your primary objective will be to recover our costs from the responsible party, including third-party insurers, policyholders, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with policyholders and stakeholders via telephone, written correspondence, and webchat to keep them updated on claim developments and bring about resolution.
  • Expertly handle challenging conversations and complaints.
  • Validate claims and ensure policy operationality.
  • Input and update claims reserves on our systems.
  • Make effective use of the diary system to maintain a proactive approach to claims handling.
  • Handle scheme claims within agreed terms and notify scheme insurer.
  • Work towards individual and business KPIs.
  • Investigate liability where required and make decisions, admitting or disputing.
  • Refer suspected fraud to the Specialist Unit.
  • Process incoming payments.

Requirements:

  • Recovery/claims experience is highly beneficial, but not essential, as we'll provide the necessary training.
  • A background in telephony-based work with excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail (data inputting skills).
  • Administrative experience.
  • Good overall IT knowledge, especially with Excel, Word, and Access desirable.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving and delivering results.
  • Proactive, organized approach to work.
