Nursery Chef Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated chef to oversee the complete running of our nursery kitchen in Teddington. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-starting individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of allergens and be able to ensure each child's dietary needs are met. They will also be responsible for managing the kitchen team and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete running of the nursery kitchen
  • Manage the kitchen team and maintain high standards of food quality and safety
  • Ensure each child's dietary needs are met
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our nursery children

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or as a chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong awareness of allergens and ability to ensure each child's dietary needs are met
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards of food quality and safety
