James Andrew Recruitment Solutions (JAR Solutions) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in a senior role for a medium to large sized organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing and acting as the subject matter expert for Health and Safety at work for a Social Housing provider
  • Co-operating, collaborating and liaising with other colleagues to ensure that policies are in place and recognized across the organisation
  • Producing targets to ensure that Health and Safety becomes an integrated function within the organisation
  • Assisting the Directorate in the development and delivery of plans within Health and Safety
  • Embedding a culture of Health and Safety across the organisation
  • Providing robust management information and assurance across the business
  • Developing, updating and implementing a Health and Safety training Matrix
  • Establishing an effective compliance and performance framework with key risks identified
  • Acting as the 'Competent Person' under the Health and Safety at Work Regs. 1999
  • Planning and implementing a monitoring regime to include HS Audits, risk assessments and board reports

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH/ IOSH qualified
  • Experience in a senior Health and Safety role for a medium to large sized organization
  • Experience producing formal reports for a board of directors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
