Senior Data Privacy Advisor

Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Privacy Advisor to lead their European and APAC privacy programmes. As a key member of the data protection team, you will provide expert guidance and advice to the business on all aspects of data protection, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data protection strategies and policies to ensure compliance with UK, European, and global data protection laws.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the business on data protection matters, including data subject rights, data breaches, and data protection impact assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data protection is integrated into business processes and systems.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure data protection compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data protection best practices and policies.
- Proven experience in data protection leadership roles, with a strong background in data protection laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of UK, European, and global data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Strong technical and regulatory knowledge in data protection, including data protection impact assessments and data breach management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
