Procurement Specialist

Consortium are pleased to be representing a leading, innovative manufacturing company based in East Yorkshire who are investing heavily in growth. The company is looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their well-established Operations department.
About the Role:- The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for ensuring KPI targets are being met, in line with cost, delivery, and safety targets.
- Key duties include performing regular reviews of the company's existing supplier base, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to improve performance and quality.
- Additionally, the Purchasing Manager will identify cost savings opportunities with current and new suppliers without compromising on quality.
- They will also assess international supply risks as well as associated business costs and take appropriate decisions.
- Ongoing tasks include raising Purchase Orders and RFQs using SAP, preparing and managing departmental budget, and reporting on performance.
- The Purchasing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders in NPD, sales, production, quality, and finance.
- We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of purchasing experience at a strategic level within manufacturing.
- Previous experience of using SAP or similar MRP system is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have good commercial acumen and be able to provide salary, benefits, and bonus details are as follows:
