Consultant Ophthalmologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Department of Ophthalmology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Glaucoma service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with Glaucoma, working closely with our multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Glaucoma service, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, sharing your expertise with junior medical staff and contributing to the development of our department's educational programs.
  • Engage in audit and research activities, applying your skills and knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of Ophthalmology.
Requirements
  • FRCOphth or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be on the Specialist Registrar, hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT/CCST) or be within 6 months of obtaining the CCT.
  • Higher degree (e.g. MD or PhD) in a relevant subject.
