Exciting Opportunity in Respiratory Physiology

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Respiratory Physiology Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. Our Trust is undergoing significant development, resulting in a centre of excellence for patients and staff in North Staffordshire and surrounding counties.

Main Duties of the Job

The Senior Respiratory Physiologist/Clinical Scientist will work within the Respiratory Physiology Service, providing a specialist clinical service for the investigation and treatment of all respiratory and non-respiratory disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory physiology and therapeutics, as well as experience in research and audit.

Person SpecificationEducation and Qualifications
  • Clinical Physiology/MSc or equivalent degree
  • Knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through specialist/management courses or training/experience to advanced level
  • Teaching qualification
Experience
  • Specialist experience/training in areas of Respiratory Physiology and Therapeutics
  • Experience in Research and Audit
  • Commissioning experience
  • Professional manner
  • Ability to build working and constructive relationships quickly
  • Willing to undertake continued professional development
