Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Android Software Engineer to join our EU engineering team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building amazing experiences for millions of diners across the world.

About the Role

As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our award-winning Android app, written entirely in Kotlin. You will work closely with our Web Engineers, Product Designers, Product Managers, QA Testers, and Data Scientists to create experiences that make diners come back, time after time, to find and book the perfect table for every occasion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build new features for diners to discover restaurants on our Android app
  • Scale the app and take ownership of technical improvements/roadmap
  • Craft sophisticated and practical user interfaces for discovering restaurants on our global app
  • Develop experiences for millions of diners and make it easy for them to discover the perfect dining occasions
  • Improve yourself and the team by learning new skills and sharing your knowledge with others
  • Create a better product by voicing your opinions on how and why we do what we do
  • Use data insights and leverage A/B tests heavily to validate our products, allowing us to test and iterate quickly

Requirements

  • Experience with building and maintaining a scalable, modern, and performant Android app
  • Comfortable working with both Android and server-side code
  • Passionate about phenomenal UI and UX
  • Empathetic mindset and enjoy collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers of all career levels
  • Keen to lead, mentor, and grow junior engineers
