Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Lush Group. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating a team that shares a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the store manager to build a high-performing team that consistently meets or exceeds sales targets.
  • Support the store manager in building connections with local businesses, charities, and community organizations to enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer engagement, and increase brand loyalty.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of customer-focused individuals who embody the Lush Group values.
  • Lead by example on the shop floor, working closely with the store manager and spa manager to bring innovative ideas to life.
  • Assist in managing the store's finances, including setting annual budgets, driving sales, and controlling staffing levels and stock.
  • Maintain a beautiful store and spa environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, merchandising, and stock management.
  • Develop relationships within the local community to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Actively engage in personal development, utilizing training opportunities, collaborating with other teams, and gaining exposure to other stores and aspects of the business.
  • Take on projects to make positive changes and add unique value to the store, driving growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in retail management, business development, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate difficult conversations, set and manage expectations, and support a management team.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to share business messages throughout the store.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the store manager and spa manager to achieve top-box goals.
