Job Title: Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced corporate lawyer to join our team at Birketts. As a Partner, you will play a key role in the growth and development of our firmwide corporate practice, supporting the continued expansion of our Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on buy side and sell side transactions, as well as general corporate transactions such as reorganisations and corporate joint ventures.
  • Manage transactions independently, supervising junior team members as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including startups, owner managed businesses, and family-owned businesses.
  • Contribute to the development of our corporate practice, including identifying new business opportunities and implementing strategies to drive growth.
  • Lead and motivate a team of junior lawyers, ensuring they receive the necessary support and training to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional knowledge of corporate law, with experience of advising on complex transactions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to think clearly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience of managing client relationships and developing business opportunities.
