Job Title: Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary:

The ARM organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and planning for the Integrated Care Board (ICB). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the ICB, meeting targets set by NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver long-term financial strategies that reflect and integrate the objectives of all partner organizations within the Integrated Care System (ICS).
  2. Lead the financial strategy to promote transformational changes, improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities across the ICS.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders across public health, primary care, local government, and the community to achieve transformational improvements in population health.
  4. Develop governance structures and risk-sharing mechanisms to ensure system financial balance.
  5. Be accountable for developing a financially sustainable approach, leveraging data, and benchmarking to maximize impact.

Requirements:

  1. A qualified accountant with extensive financial leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  2. Proven track record in developing and delivering strategic financial plans within a large, complex organization.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to influence and drive system-wide financial strategies.
  4. Experience managing financial risks, governance, and resource allocation within an Integrated Care System.

Working Arrangements:

The role is based in Derby, with a hybrid working model in place. The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work remotely and on-site.

Salary:

The salary for this role is £780 per day, with umbrella company arrangements in place.
