Job Title: Energy and Carbon Lead

Join Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, as we embark on a journey to reduce our environmental footprint. We are seeking an experienced Energy and Carbon Lead to join our team in Gloucester, UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can develop and implement a comprehensive approach to energy and carbon management across our sites in Gloucester. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying industry trends, developing and implementing energy reduction strategies, and leading consulting assignments to deliver emissions baselining and reduction plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to energy and carbon management
  • Identify and disseminate industry trends and future innovation in the clean energy sector
  • Take responsibility for all CCA data/submissions where required
  • Develop a pathway/blueprint for SLSS & SLS UK sites to embed carbon management into core business processes
  • Lead consulting assignments to deliver emissions baselining, reduction plans, and costed roadmaps
  • Engage key stakeholders from Executive to Operational levels to identify internal resources gaps to support the implementation of SLSS & SLS UK low carbon strategy to 2030
  • Track and report progress and liaise with Safran Group HQ Environment/Carbon functions
  • Act as technical interface/support for all new Energy Reduction initiatives across SLSS & SLS UK

Requirements

  • Commercially minded with ability to build, assess, and improve business cases and financial profiles
  • Technologically astute with knowledge of energy technology sector and energy construction services market

  • Communicator with ability to present outputs with clarity and credibility
