Job Description

This role involves working with a school that provides independent special educational needs placements. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with their learning and development.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience within SEN support, enjoy working with children, and strive to ensure each child can achieve their true potential.

Salary: £85-115 per day, dependant on experience and qualifications

Holidays: Bank holidays only

Working Hours: Full time (Monday – Friday)

Location: Cheshire, Barrow, CH3 postcode

As a Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Knowledge of the school's policies for the curriculum and assessment
  2. Understanding of intervention strategies to support pupils with English and Maths difficulties
  3. Aid the execution of education plans suitable to each pupil's learning objectives

You will also be required to provide feedback for teachers on outcomes of learning activities, supervise pupils with SEND, and assist pupils with practical activities using teaching aids.
