About the Job

BAM Nuttall is a leading construction company that specializes in delivering complex infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Environment Manager to join our team and lead on the environmental aspects of project delivery.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing and delivering environment management systems (EMS) that demonstrate continual improvement in line with ISO 14001 requirements. They will be fully aware of environmental regulation / legislation to ensure the business complies with all relevant legal requirements.

In this role, you will lead on environmental aspects of project delivery, including project environmental meetings and progress meetings. You will also investigate and report on environmental incidents, and develop lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence.

Responsibilities and RequirementsResponsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective environment management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead on environmental aspects of project delivery, including project environmental meetings and progress meetings
  • Investigate and report on environmental incidents, and develop lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence
  • Manage environmental staff and ensure they have the necessary training and support to perform their roles effectively
  • Deliver environmental consenting requirements as per the contract
Requirements
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective EMS that meet ISO 14001 requirements
  • Familiarity with environmental regulation/legislation and ability to ensure business compliance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of civil engineering industry and practices
