The successful candidate will be working as a Clinical Research Fellow in the cardiac department of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, with a focus on TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) procedures. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced doctor to join our team, with a strong background in cardiology and clinical research. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role include:
- Working closely with consultant cardiologists and surgeons to perform TAVI procedures and provide high-quality patient care.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new clinical trials and research projects within the department.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting results to senior clinicians and researchers.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A relevant primary medical qualification (e.g. MBChB) and current registration with the GMC.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in general cardiology at Middle Grade level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A keen interest in clinical research and a desire to contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies.
This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of £85,000 - 105,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life insurance, and paid annual leave.
