Salary:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £44,401-£48,356 (pay award pending) per annum, depending on experience. This salary range reflects the importance of this role in providing high-quality care for vulnerable children and young people.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to join our Residential and Inspiring Futures Team as a Registered Manager of a 4-bed children's home. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Residential Child Care, preferably in complex disabilities/health settings, with at least 1 year of supervising/managing care staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a 4-bed children's home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
  2. Implement therapeutic practices to promote children's emotional and social well-being.
  3. Register and achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
  4. Drive excellence within the home through quality assurance, budget management, and team development.
  5. Champion equality, diversity, and child-centered practices.
  6. Mentor and develop a dedicated team, fostering continuous learning.
  7. Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety standards.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve optimal outcomes for children in care.

About You:

  1. Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in Residential Child Care (within the last 5 years)
  • Preferably in complex disabilities/health settings
  • At least 1 year supervising/managing care staff
Qualifications:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with therapeutic approaches in residential settings
Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children's Act 2004, and Ofsted standards
