Professor in Climate and Health

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor in Climate and Health to join our team at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The successful candidate will have a strong background in climate change and health research, with a proven track record of publishing high-impact papers and securing external funding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-impact climate and health research focused on low- and middle-income countries in collaboration with LSTM departments and global hubs.
  • Develop evidence-based interventions for climate-sensitive health risks.
  • Foster global partnerships to enhance LSTM's research impact and capacity.
  • Build long-term partnerships with low- and middle-income country institutions.
  • Collaborate with public health authorities to develop innovative sustainable health systems tailored to climate adaptation and mitigation in low- and middle-income countries.
Requirements:
  • PhD qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • Extensive knowledge of subject area informed by substantial current research in the field.
  • Evidence of established international reputation in global health arena, related to Climate, Environment, and Health.
  • Outstanding record of international level peer-reviewed original publications and research, including in relation to low- or middle-income countries.
