Specialist Mental Health Physician for Community Care

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, an award-winning community and mental health Trust, is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Mental Health Physician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior medical support to the multidisciplinary teams, working alongside 2.6 wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrists, and sharing clinical supervision requirements.
This fixed-term contract of 12 months offers a unique opportunity to work in a leading-edge environment, developing links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who shares our values and is committed to delivering high-quality care to adult patients with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Requirements:
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty.
