Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with expertise in dynamic process simulation to join our dynamic process simulation team. As a key member of our team, you will work on a variety of projects, including compressor surge analysis, holistic simulation, control optimisation & validation, process safety time analysis, liquid surge (water-hammer) assessment, HIPPS response times, heat exchanger tube rupture and many more unique issues that are faced by our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver work under the supervision of one of our lead engineers.
- Conduct a large variety of work, including assessment of compressor anti-surge control, process control systems liquid surge, HIPPS response, and heat exchanger tube rupture using a variety of dynamic process simulation tools.
- Present work to clients, virtually and face-to-face, through reports and presentations.
- Prepare technical notes, reports and client presentations.
- Responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and internal procedures.
- Understand client's requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
- Oversee more junior engineers under your supervision who are running process simulations, analysing results, and preparing reports.
- Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Requirements
- Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Hold Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent, or be close to attaining this chartership.
- Experienced using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics as well as PipeNet and/or Wanda or similar liquid surge (water hammer) programs.
- Be a team player who is adaptable to working in new and changing environments.
- Great organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
- A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
