About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Portfolio Management Leader to join our team at Shawbrook Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Loans Portfolio team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Client Directors, Managers, and Associates covering a National client base of UK SMEs and Corporates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage performance, strategy, and motivate the Commercial Loans Portfolio team
  • Provide support and guidance on complex in-life client management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Clients at board level, maximising client life and retention
  • Understand risk drivers, monitor triggers, and ensure risk is managed within credit policy and operational mandates
  • Work with the team to identify opportunities to provide further facilities to existing customers utilising a 'can do' and problem-solving mindset to support client aspirations

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification
  • Proven experience with 7 years plus experience in banking, with a particular focus on UK SME cashflow lending, preferably with Portfolio Management experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Commercial Loan product range and procedures
  • Significant experience in structuring & executing transactions and risk management
  • A proven team leader with strong skills in managing, developing, and motivating teams
  • Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Power-Point)
  • Strong analytical & financial analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
