Donor Recruitment Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Donor Recruitment Specialist to join our team at Reed. As an Engagement Manager, you will play a vital role in helping us reach our goal of finding a matching donor for every patient in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver donor recruitment events across the UK, both online and offline, in collaboration with volunteers, partners, and community groups.
  • Work closely with patients and their families to create engaging and successful appeals, and provide ongoing support throughout their journey.
  • Design and deliver training sessions to educate volunteers and stakeholders on the register eligibility criteria, registration process, donation methods, and more.
  • Utilize our database to log contacts, patients, event activity, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain high-quality working relationships with external stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals.
  • Contribute to projects and campaigns targeting core donor recruitment groups, such as minority ethnic backgrounds.
  • Work towards donor recruitment fundraising targets by promoting money donations and/or fundraising alongside events.
  • Provide support and cover for other Donor Recruitment colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as communications, marketing, events management, or health promotion.
  • Experience in organizing and delivering events, preferably in the charity sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your message to different audiences and platforms.
  • A strong sense of empathy and compassion, with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to travel within the UK, sometimes at weekends and/or into the evening, and attend donor recruitment events.
