Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Architect to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As an Electrical Architect, you will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify and determine system electrical requirements
  • Define interface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment
  • Develop power architecture, including power budget and power profiles
  • Design data communication and processing architecture
  • Ensure requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening
  • Support signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals
  • Participate in test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification, and integration
  • Review and author reports, guidelines, and processes
  • Conduct design assessments and analysis
  • Work to defence/industry standards
  • Attend and support design reviews
Requirements:
  • Technical experience in electrical/electronics engineering
  • Knowledge of interface definitions
  • Understanding of defence/industry standards
  • Degree-level qualification in a related subject
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Ability to write reports

While a defence-related background is ideal, experience in other engineering industries will also be considered. Relevant experience in areas such as power supplies, actuators, data communication, sensors, EMC, Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS), and Model Based Engineering (MBE) is also of interest.
