Overview:


This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build on their engineering experience in missile development, from concept studies to series production and in-service support.

It's a chance to work on all aspects of missile development, including electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for specifying and determining system electrical requirements, interface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment, power architecture, including power budget and power profiles, data communication and processing architecture, requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screening, signal safety, including routing of safety related signals, and supporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification and integration.
Additionally, you will review and author reports, guidelines and processes, design assessments and analysis, and work to defence/industry standards. You may also attend and support design reviews, or act as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s) that are part of a missile or launcher system, managing the equipment(s) on behalf of the project during development, qualification and manufacture, owning the requirements on behalf of the project for the equipment(s), producing Statement(s) of Work for the associated design authority for the equipment(s), creating and updating plans showing activities for the equipment(s), managing internal & external design authorities for delivery of the equipment(s) hardware, software and deliverables to schedule, cost, quality and performance, holding regular progress reviews with the design authority for the equipment(s), reviewing qualification verification evidence, tracking and finding resolution to equipment non-compliances, and attending and supporting design reviews.

Skillset required:

Technical proven ability required:
electrical/electronics, interface definitions, knowledge of defence/industry standards, degree level qualification in a related subject, systems engineering, writing reports

Ideally this would be within a defence related background, however, proven ability within other engineering industries will also be considered.
