Principal Data Engineer

We are looking for a talented Principal Data Engineer to lead our software strategy and product delivery and maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects and contribute to the organization's success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining software related to our data warehouse, including processes, delivery platforms, and software relating to data acquisition, maintenance, and presentation.
This role is part of our Data, Intelligence, and Insight Department, which supports the organization's strategic and operational management of health services across North Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team's software strategy and programme of product delivery and maintenance
- Design and develop software solutions using advanced SQL skills
- Develop and maintain web applications using MVC/C/HTML/JS/JQuery
Requirements:
- Proven track record in solution delivery
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with OOP principles and languages like C
Desirable Skills:
- Data warehousing concepts and techniques
- ETL processes
- In-depth knowledge of database design and Microsoft SQL Server platform
Salary: Estimated £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
