Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Environment Business. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial administration, reporting, and performance on a single large project or several smaller schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Producing subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
- Managing subcontract works packages, including interim assessments of the amount due and subsequent change management.
- Producing and issuing all commercial notices to the Client and Subcontractors, as required by the form of contract.
- Managing change in a timely manner in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations.
- Liaising with operational and engineering staff to ensure site records are kept to the standard required.
- Playing a pivotal role in weekly progress and risk reduction meetings, producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications to the Client and presenting detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliation's (CVR) and 'Cost Plans', tracking and forecasting expenditure and liabilities as required by the business unit or project.
- Ensuring a safe working environment and promoting the Company's Health, Safety, and Environment culture.
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a relevant degree and/or experience of working in a commercial environment. You should have experience of working on large single or multiple smaller schemes with solid knowledge of construction processes. A professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member or working towards full membership, is desirable.
You will have an astute appreciation of standard forms of contract with strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle). You will be an excellent team player with the confidence to communicate and influence at all levels and establish strong, collaborative working relationships.
