Job Title: Nursery Practitioner/Assistant

Hours: Flexible Working Pattern

Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Practitioner/Assistant who is enthusiastic and a team player. The ideal candidate should have experience working in an Ofsted graded "Good" or "Outstanding" setting. A minimum of a relevant and recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification is required.

  • Evidence of ongoing personal development training
  • Desire to continue with professional development
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and practical hygiene issues
  • Experience of working in an early years setting

To effectively deliver the EYFS, ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To keep records of your key children's development and learning journal and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life.
  • To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.
  • To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, summer fayre, etc.
  • To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snacks or meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.

Working Hours:

The nursery is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm – 50 weeks per year. Rotating shift pattern within opening hours.
