Electrical Systems Maintenance Engineer

As a key member of our team at EDF, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our plant systems. Your expertise in electrical systems and instrumentation will be instrumental in identifying and resolving faults, and developing maintenance strategies to prevent downtime.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and diagnose plant faults, and develop instructions for rectification
- Manage routine and defect maintenance, ensuring compliance with site licence requirements
- Develop and maintain knowledge of plant systems, and act as system manager responsible for equipment reliability
- Ensure critical equipment is identified, and preventative maintenance programmes are in place to prevent unanticipated failures
- Monitor and evaluate system performance, and provide technical expertise to troubleshooting activities
Requirements
- Relevant HNC (or equivalent) in engineering, and holding or working towards a relevant degree and Chartered Engineer status
- Control and Instrument background gained in process or heavy industries, or nuclear power plant operations, engineering or technical and safety disciplines
- Methodical approach to problem solving, and good organisational skills
- Prioritisation of work, and balanced decision-making
