Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Engineering business area at Safran UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide financial and business partnering support to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide month-end accounting and reporting of financial performance, including analysis and advice on corrective actions to drive improvements.
- Ensure overall IFRS15 reporting compliance for the business.
- Coordinate and calculate the annual RDEC self-assessment claim and Patent Box tax claim.
- Lead financial submission of all Engineering/Technology grant applications.
- Finance approver for purchase requisitions.
- Facilitate and ensure robust inputs from business areas for forecasts, budgets, and the MTP (Mid Term Plan).
- Work closely with the Finance Manager - Programmes & Engineering, Management Accountant - Programmes and Purchasing, and Programme Managers and Directors to provide financial support for robust EAC reviews.
- Provide monthly analysis and forecasts of cost-saving initiatives for the Engineering business area, including validation of claimed savings.
- Monthly review and analysis of RTDI.
- Promote increased financial understanding and awareness in business areas, working with the Finance team and business to develop informative and value-add KPI reporting.
- Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained, and act as the conscience of the business to ensure general controls and processes are adhered to in business areas in line with best practice.
