Rigging Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigging Supervisor to join our team at Altrad. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the set-up of lifting equipment and erections of working platforms, as well as supervising maintenance and repair work of engineering plant and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the safe and efficient set-up of lifting equipment and erections of working platforms.
  2. Supervise maintenance and repair work of engineering plant and machinery, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  3. Examine faulty plant or machinery and determine the nature and location of defects.
  4. Study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals, or other specifications to determine the sequence and method of required operations.
  5. Carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and greasing, according to schedule.
  6. Operate overhead cranes and basic slinging in a safe manner.
  7. Install or reposition plant or machinery, and modify standard machinery for special purposes.
  8. Adhere to all safety requirements, including safety checks of tools and equipment.
Requirements:
  1. Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
  2. Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3.
  3. Proven Supervisory Experience.
  4. Possess IOSH.
  5. Ideally hold CTC clearance or be willing to undergo this.
  6. Must be flexible to travel across our sites with digs and travel paid for.
